NDC and ADCO celebrated an important HSE milestone with Rig ND-9 completing 10 years without lost time incident. The celebration was held on rig site with attendance of NDC General Manager Abdalla Al-Suwaidi and ADCO A/GM Fareed Abdalla in addition to management teams of NDC and ADCO.
Remarkable achievements were done in 2009 including lowest incident rate in NDC history. This made NDC the best performer in HSE in the region, which translates to achievement of ADCO corporate objective. How is this excellent HSE performance achieved? It is by the hard work of people like ND-09 team who keep their rig incident-free every moment and every day and every year. In the opening, NDC Rig Manager Ali Sedoune and ADCO Drilling Supervisor Hasan Al-Hammadi both welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their attendance and support. Both appreciated the hard work of rig staff and promised to continue the teamwork and dedicated efforts with the objective of safe operations all the time.
NDC GM in his speech said that these achievements would not have been possible without ADCO partnership. With strong drive of both companies and the hand in hand work among our teams, we are sure, the future challenges will be met. He thanked NDC Rig Manager and ADCO Drilling Supervisor and all ND-09 rig crew for their excellent achievement. He added that it takes great work to achieve such performance. It takes right behaviors of every individual, close supervision, effective leadership and teamwork. You are giving example to others that YES, We can prevent accidents and YES we can keep our site safe all the time. You have entered the club of safest rigs in the world. He encouraged them to keep it up. ADCO A/GM in his speech said that ADCO and NDC performance depends on the excellent performance of rig staff such as NDC team. He appreciated their efforts and wished them many years to come without accidents. He encouraged them to keep up the excellent performance and never relax. At the end of celebration, gifts were distributed to all staff. In addition, GM, AIM, and MM had a tour around the rig and met with rig crew, listened to their suggestions and witnessed ongoing operations.
