24/02/2010 - National Drilling Company awards contract to Maritime Industrial Services Company

Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Abdalla Nasser Al-Suwaidi, Chairman of National Drilling Company, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Exploration & Production Director, National Drilling Company has awarded a contract to Maritime Industrial Services Company to re-build an oil rig that will be used to drill oil wells in Abu Dhabi offshore oil fields with cost in excess of 200 million Dirhams. The contract was signed by National Drilling Company General Manager Mr. Abdalla Saeed Al-Suwaidi and Mr. Kevin Hudson, Managing Director of Maritime Industrial Services Company. National Drilling Company General Manager stated that the award of this project signifies NDC commitment to expand its offshore rig fleet to meet the demands of its clients. National Drilling Company is implementing the vision of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company by adopting a long term strategy of sustainable growth while ensuring the highest standards in Health Safety Environment and Technology. NDC General Manager extended appreciation to Abu Dhabi National Oil Company management and Abu Dhabi Government for approving this project and for the wise vision and guidance.
