Health, Safety and the Environment (HSE)HSE
Our dedication to the health and safety of our employees is matched by a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our operations. This is essential for the long-term sustainability and success of our business. Rig ND-17 recently completed 13 full years without one working shift missed due to an accident; about 100 people work on this onshore rig. The International Association of Drilling Contractors has given NDC the Gold and President's Awards for safety, and ranks us in the top five percent of drilling companies worldwide in terms of worker safety.
Ground Water Research Program (GWRP)

Water is the world's most precious resource, the elixir of life. To help understand the quantity, quality, and distribution of ground water and to help safeguard these reserves of Abu Dhabi Emirate, NDC has partnered with the US Geological Survey (USGS) to form the Ground Water Research Program, providing valuable research on groundwater resources and the hydrology of the Emirate.

Since the inception of the project in 1988, GWRP scientists and specialists have developed a comprehensive ground-water database, assessed and mapped the resources of the Emirate, and produced over 200 scientific publications. GWRP has drilled over 600 research wells. NDC leads program planning and management of the Ground Water Research Program.
