ND-17 successfully completed 13 years operations without a LTI
NDCOn 5th August 2008 onshore rig ND-17 has successfully completed 13 years of operations without any Lost Time Injury. This is the first time in NDC history a rig is achieving such an outstanding record.
As per IADC global record, it is a very significant achievement as only less than 20 rigs achieved more than 13 years so far accordingly to their available record. Which means the ratio of 1 rig out of 270.
During the period, rig has worked more than 5.5 million man-hours and 1.8 million footages drilled from over 120 wells, including drilling and re-entry.

Onshore Drilling Operations

Our clients carefully plan for drilling new wells or working on existing wells by a time lined bar chart. This plan is normally for three- year operation. It is updated occasionally to reflect the actual and planned operations.

Based on the bar chart, the rigs are assigned to particular wells for that year. Respective Drilling Team Managers review planned rig moves and prepares work scopes such as landscaping the site prior to rigging up.

Wells to be drilled are planned ahead of time. The planning takes into account the objective of the well. It may be for exploration or work-over, a gas or oil producer and a water or gas injector.

When the well has been drilled successfully, NDC tests the well and begins to run- in completions and installing the Christmas tree. All activities are performed in strict compliance with existing government regulations to ensure no harm is caused to the environment.
